Summary: The Philippine-American Educational Foundation (PAEF) announces the 2010-2011 Fulbright Scholarship Competition
Timeline: Completed applications must be received on or before March 23, 2009.
Eligibility:
General Eligibility Requirements
a.. Philippine citizenship
b.. English proficiency
c.. College degree with major in field of specialization;excellent undergraduate record
d.. At least two years of professional work experience (after college) in their field of specialization
e.. Must be in good health
f.. No other than 40 years of age at the time of application for degree programs; age requirement waived for non-degree study
g.. Must return to the Philippines immediately upon completion of study
From the announcement:The Fulbright Scholarship Program is a competitive, merit-based scholarship program that provides opportunities for graduate degree and non-degree studies at U.S. universities in the fields of:
- Study of the United States: any field in the social sciences, arts and humanities, including law and education;
- Global Studies: environment, human rights, peace studies/conflict resolution, international relations and transnational issues, governance and public administation, international economics, international law, and civic education;
Open Grants
any field of study not covered in the two categories above EXCEPT engineering, medicine and other related disciplines, applied sciences, and applied mathematics.
Additional competition materials may be obtained directly from PAEF office and can be downloaded from the PAEF website: www.paef.org.ph. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to check PAEF's website and to download the required form. The application forms may be photocopied.
